"Guadalajara Woman". According to the Mexican government, in 2006, of the 108 million people in the country, about 45 million are living in inherited poverty, where circumstances related to previous generations such as debts and lack of access to basic resources continue on to the next generation.  

(Don's note: I walked around Guadalajara's Centro area and saw this elderly woman selling sponges besides one of the 19th century churches.  In my broken Spanish, I was able to get permission for a picture.)
