    May 8, 2010: This is one of the last rallies of Sen Aquino's party in Bacolod, Philippines.  

His late father originally chose the color yellow when his allies tied yellow ribbons around him signifying they still believed in him to oppose the former dicator, President Marcos.  This sign was taken from the song "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree" where the guy requested the girl to tie a yellow ribbon in the oak tree to indicate that he was still welcomed.
    May 8, 2010: A crowd starts a fire during the last rallies of Sen Aquino's party in Bacolod, Philippines.

    For the first time, the Philippines used an electronic voting system that immediately provided results online. This reduced the political tension that was prevalent in past elections. For those that didn't have a computer or television, various organizations displayed election results on the streets. 

In this example, they posted the results on the main highway which attracted crowds and caused a traffic congestion.
